The Rwandan Trading Company started in 2009 with the goal to provide positive change for farmers and producers, by building resilient and transparent supply chains it aims to bring Rwandan coffee into a sustainable future. With 25% of Rwandas annual coffee exported through the RTC they are making headway into achieving this goal.

The remote location of Mwito central washing station has meant that the farmers have had to grow exceptional coffee to be worth the long drive into their crops past the lake Kivu, While producing a for the last 8 seasons the farmers have been able to invest into their local township and build a local kindergarten for up to 150 boys and girls between the ages of 3-6.
