A little about: Coffee grown in Colombia is praised world wide for its quality and crop yield, thanks largely to the ideal altitude and diverse microclimates. Colombian coffee farmers often tend towards traditional methods, with many still hand picking cherries on steep mountain slopes. Thanks to the Andes Mountain Range crossing through Cauca, and the protection of the Popayán Plateau, the volcanic soils, high altitude and reliable rainfall make this region perfect for producing some of Colombia's most outstanding coffees.
